Safe Car and Air Travel for Your Pet
If you decide to hit the road, or take to the friendly skies with your pet (be it a dog, cat or other small pet) you need to ensure the safety and comfort of your pet during its travels.
If you’re driving with your pet, you can choose a pet car seat that straps your pet in and keeps them from running around the car. Not only is that more enjoyable for you while driving, but it’s safer for your pet. The seat is high enough so your pet can see out the windows and enjoy the scenery.
The first thing you need to know is what size carrier you need for your pet so it has room to move around but also lay down to sleep while on the road or in the air. Pet carriers come in both soft-sided carriers, carriers on wheels that can convert to car seats, and hard-sided carriers good for shipping your pet (and good for larger dogs). Before you pick out a carrier for your pet, to make sure it’s the right size you need to know:
Length – Measure from the nape of the pet’s neck (where the collar falls) to the base of the tail Height – Measure from the floor to the shoulder when the pet is standing up Weight – Not to exceed the weight limit for that crate or carrier
Before you decide to fly with your pet you need to:
Check with the airline to see if they allow pets in the cabin. If they don’t see if they allow pets in the cargo hold (and your pet will have to be checked in) Find out the dimensions of the allowable carrier – if your pet is flying in the cabin, the carrier has to be soft –sided and small enough to fit under the seat in front of you but allowing your pet enough room to be comfortable. If your pet has to fly in the cargo hold, you need to check on the pricing for the size hard-sided carrier you use. Find out the weight limit for the pet allowed in the cabin. Some airlines restrict the size of pet allowed to fly with you in the cabin.
Buy your ticket early because airlines only allow a certain number of pets per flight.

Nope. Especially if you're going to a grocery store. Unless the store allows dogs to go in with you, you can't bring them inside. The reason why they make the little cute designer like carriers so you can look good outdoors with your pet but it doesn't mean they are purses.
Please don't use the muzzle on your little dog just because you don't want him barking. If your dog likes to bark, you just have to live with that. They are dogs and they are supposed to bark. You probably wouldn't like it if someone put a tape on your mouth to keep you from talking.

Use baking soda, sprinkle the baking soda around in the whole car if you want. Let this sit for awhile then vacuum. All your smells should be gone. This way is a lot cheaper then using Febreze.
basically you can just get a cruiser from your local bike shop with all those features or find an actual old bike from ebay or a garage sale.
I bought one at K-Mart about 10 years ago I've also seen them at Office Depot for about 5 bucks if you aren't inclined to steal or you want one that is a solid color without a company logo on it.
I like using cheap 99c foaming carpet cleaner in spray can found at big box store. It should help penetrate the fiber, remove smell and hopefull the stain without getting the seat all wet. It also shouldnt mess with the color of the material.
Yes, and here’s why. Even if the parameters were perfect, you’d still have to do them in order to make sure the parameters remain that way. You have to imagine that your tank is a miniature biosphere, and in this biosphere you have to ensure that toxins don’t build up, the easiest and most effective way to do that is by doing regular water changes. Given the fact that you have tons of filtration, you’d only have to do about 5 to 10 percent a week, which is nothing. They’ll thank you for it.

Fraggle Red posted a photo: Green Cay Wetlands, Boynton Beach, FL The Northern Flicker (Colaptes auratus) is a medium-sized member of the woodpecker family. It is native to most of North America, parts of Central America, Cuba, the Cayman Islands, and is one of the few woodpecker species that migrate. It is the only woodpecker that commonly feeds on the ground. The Northern Flicker is part of the genus Colaptes which encompasses 12 New-World woodpeckers. There are two living and one extinct subspecies of C. auratus species, the Yellow-shafted Flicker and Red-shafted Flicker. The Yellow-shafted Flicker (Colaptes auratus) resides in eastern North America. They are yellow under the tail and underwings and have yellow shafts on their primaries. They have a grey cap, a beige face and a red bar at the nape of their neck. Males have a black moustache (from Wikipedia – The Free Encyclopedia). We didn’t know it then, but this is the female. After posing for us for quite a few shots she flew…
