Question by suzie q: what kind of bicycle should I get when I go to Japan?
could you just buy an American bicycle at wal mart and throw a basket and stuff on it? or should I get one when I have gotten to Japan already?
it would be really nice if I could find a Japanese bicycle company website so I could see what options I have too!
if you have been to Japan and owned a bicycle there, what features did you have or wish you had gotten?
I appreciate any expieriences, advice, or insight you guys could give me thanks n_n

A Walmart bike would cost more to ship than it's worth. You'll be better off buying a bike after you get there. Japanese bikes are very different than what we're used to here. They're mainly plain bikes used to get from point A to point B. Racing and mountain bikes are uncommon there.

Question by biggsj85: What kind of bicycle should I get?
My fiance and I are looking into getting bicycles. I need something fairly small (as they have to fit in my walk-in closet). We just want something to ride around town with and through the local park. Where should we go to get bikes? I don't even know where to buy a bike. We live in north Newark, NJ right by Branch Brook Park. Any suggestions?
Note: I also want to get a little basket for our cat who comes everywhere with us.

Look up the following term using the yellow pages or google:
"Bike store"
Go to a nearby one.
As for bikes, look for a folding bike. They often fold up small, unlike normal bikes. While at the bike shop picking out your folding bikes, pick up a basket for you kitty

Question buy antibiotics online by Samantha: What is the best kind of basket for my bicycle? Should I go wicker or metal?
I'm looking into getting a front basket for my bicycle for the purpose to carry personal items, groceries or my 8-10 lbs dog. Should I go metal or wicker (I like the look of wicker better, but is it durable enough for an everyday kind of use) and any brands that are better than others? Is there anything I can do as far as finding something with a lock in case someone has sticky fingers?
Any recommendations?
